Notes from the digital darkroom

Friday, September 30th, 2005

So the eight photos I'm currently editing are finally making some headway. I've got five of them done, one that I left at home, one that I'm thinking about just re-scanning a print version of because the dust is truly painful. The lab's closing up in a few minutes, and I was almost done with [...]

Statcounter continues to freak me out.

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

I expected some hits today after pointing the site out to a few strangers online, but whoever saw my site in India is apparently forwarding the URL to all his friends. And Spain still weirds me out.
It's nice to know that everyone who goes to my site spends quality time on each and every page [...]

statcounter addiction

Friday, September 23rd, 2005

Wow. It's strange to think that there are people in other countries checking out my site. Truth be told, it's strange to think that there are people I don't even know looking at my photos.
Even weirder that there are people Googling for my website.
I'm contemplating redesigning the portfolio sections to get an idea of which [...]

curiouser and curiouser

Monday, September 19th, 2005

According to StatCounter, since I left on Friday I've had visitors from Hungary, Denmark, Canada, and Bangladesh.
I've also had a surprising number of visits to my non-fine-art pages. I should probably update them.
Of course, what I really want to do is replace this LJ with a WordPress blog on the site, with an RSS [...]

Columbia / Exhibition

Thursday, September 8th, 2005

The museum on the ground floor of Columbia's 600 S Michigan building is showing a new exhibition.
I walked up to the first piece, a portrait of a man sitting on a car, eyes hard and pointed at the viewer. The title card read, (Name), Location of Alibi. Served 7 years of a Life sentence for [...]
